When a secret mission in war-torn Ukraine goes catastrophically wrong, Australian soldier Steven Hale is left fighting for his life—and for the children he has sworn to protect. Thousands of kilometres away, Elisha, the woman carrying his child, discovers that powerful men will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried. As she races to uncover the truth, two former SAS comrades begin a dangerous search for the friend they refuse to abandon.
From the shattered streets of Ukraine to the vast Australian outback, and from the corridors of power in Canberra to the shadowy offices of Moscow, their journeys collide in a world driven by greed, betrayal and ambition.
Chinese Whispers is a gripping story of courage, perseverance, faith, trust and love, and of ordinary people who refuse to surrender to those who believe power gives them the right to decide who lives and who dies.
